North Wales

Snowdonia, the soul of Wales which has the evocative name of Eryri meaning the place of the eagles. With its breathtaking beauty and fantastic scenery, boasts the highest mountains in England and Wales and a mecca for us walkers.
We shall be staying in the popular inland resort of of Betws-Y-Coed, where the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Ledyr and the Machno. Betws-Y-Coed is situated on the picturesque Conwy Valley Railway which runs from Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Betws-y-Coed is a natural hub from which the roads, river and valleys radiate, making it the ideal base from which to explore the beauty and history of Snowdonia and North Wales. It has a wide choice of accommodation open throughout the year.

The walking will start with an opening walk to the Carneddau mountain range. There are an abundance of walks available to us depending on the weather, hopefully taking in the Glyders, Tryfan and the skirts of Snowdon together with a selection of low level walks to keep us entertained. A fantastic variety of walks and scenery.
