Before booking your holiday

Before booking a holiday with us please note the following important issues:

Check Availability   
Either by calling us on 02920 880144, or sending us an email at info@highplainsdrifters.co.uk with your party size.  If spaces are available we will hold them provisionally for up to 7 days to give you time to make your final decision, and finalise your travel plans.  . 

Deposit Payment
Your booking must include a deposit of £50 per person for our UK Walking Holidays or £150 per person for our Europe & Worldwide Walking Holidays.  You can make payments by cheque
payable to High Plains Drifters.

Late Bookings - No extra charge, or discounts - There are no additional fees for making a late booking (made less than 8 weeks prior to departure), although full payment is required at the time of booking.  Discounts are not applied to our holidays. 

Travel Insurance
At High Plains Drifters, we believe that your safety is important to us.  We recommend that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance when you holiday with us.  
    
We recommend travel insurance offered by Direct Travel Insurance, Shelley House, High Street, Steyning, West Sussex, BM44 3RD.  The policy is underwritten by AxA Insurance (UK) Plc.

Visas - Please make sure that you check any visas requirements to the destination you are travelling to on your holiday.

Names - You must specify your name exactly how it appears on your passport.  All airlines now require full names (first and surnames) in order to process flight tickets and will refuse boarding to those that do not exactly match up.
 
Booking Confirmation

Once we have received your booking form and deposit, we shall send you full written confirmation of booking with your holiday receipt and a holiday programme.   We will advise you when we require the balance of payment (8 weeks prior to departure).    

Making your own flying arrangments
If you have chosen to make your own travel arrangements, please make sure the holiday is going to run - BEFORE paying for your own flight tickets.  HPD cannot be held liable, in circumstances where your holiday is cancelled, for any losses occurred relating to any flight booking you may have made.

Paying your balance
You must ensure that you pay the balance of the holiday 8 weeks prior to departure. 
We will send a final invoice to you 10 weeks prior. The invoice will include your flights details, information about your holiday and a check-list to ensure you have everything for your holiday.

Final payments are to be made by cheque (made payable to High Plains Drifters).

If we do not receive your payment, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and apply any cancellation charges as necessary. 

Final Joining Arrangments
Together with your final invoice will be full joining instructions, along with your confirmed flight  (if applicable) and will include instructions of how to meet up with the rest of the party members.
