A fantastic all round resort for skiing, boarding and snowshoe walking Saalbach, is set in the province of Salzburgerland, a magnificent ski area renowned for its amazing range of pistes and efficient life system that connects Saalbach to Hinterglemm and Leogang.

We shall experience some tremendous skiing and snowshoe walking in Saalbach, Austria. Saalbach itself is a brilliant resort for skiing with a lively and attractive village town with traditional atmosphere. The area holds an excellent record for snow level and boasts some wonderful sun traps where we can sit out on the terraces of the wonderful mountain restaurants, relax and enjoy the views and great company! Unlike many it combines this with a very extensive modern lift system.

It''s slopes largely resemble a French resort more than a traditional Austrian one - with the bonus of excellent traditional mountain restaurants dotted around. Saalbach is great for boarding, skiing and snowshoe walking. Slopes are extensive, lifts are mainly chairs and gondalas, and there are pistes to appeal to beginners, intermediates and experts alike. For the experienced there`s good off-piste terrain, and fun-parks too. There are also dedicated `carving` zones for boarders and skiiers.
